Hoegaarden ; my No.1 Beer

1 개의 댓글

My love, My favorite, Hoegaarden Brewery.

One summer early evening, something captured my and my friends' eyes on the way back home after we finished a class.
that is; Hoegaarden draft beer pub!!

I can't forget the day's memory. Blowing cool breeze, with the setting sun, a cup of cold Hoegaarden beer quenched our thirsty at once.
The taste was a bit sweet and fragrant too. Anyways it couldn't have been better!

Hoegaarden is a Belgian brewery. Its origin date back to 14th century and it is named after the village 'Hoegaarden' in Belgium.
This beer has some unique ingredients, coriander and dried Curaçao orange peel known as Laraha, so it has softly sweet and fresh flavor.
In addition to that, it has the natural golden cloudy color because of the secondary addition of yeast.

☆ Additional Tip!

The way to drink Hoegaarden! (bottle)

01. Pouring: pour in cool glass(for Hoegaarden only).
02. Shaking: shake the bottle two or three times to mix the remained of yeast.
03. Pouring till the end: pour till the tip of the glass (around the logo).

Corona Extra : the top selling imported beer in the U.S

2 개의 댓글

Manufacturer : Grupo Modelo
Introduced : 1925 in Mexico City, Mexico
Alcohol by volume : 4.6%
Style : Light beer

Corona (labeled Corona Extra) is a brand of pale lager owned and produced by Cerveceria Modelo in Mexico. This beer is available in over 150 countries and is the top-selling beer in Mexico and is one of the top selling beers worldwide.
Outside of Mexico, Corona is often served with a wedge of citrus fruit, usually lime , occasionally lemon, inserted into the neck of the bottle. Within Mexico, especially in the south, Corona served with lime is not uncommon, but is not considered mandatory.
This beer is basically bottled unlikely a famous Japanese beer,Ashai, which is canned. You can feel the taste of exotic Mexican taste first, but the sourness of Lemon lasts for a while as long as you have the beer with lemon which is quite common recipe for Corona.
Corona always has impressive ads which we can feel being in a dessert island or being on holiday. Therefore, we can feel something special with Corona, the beer doesn't have deep taste and aroma though.
Their light and soft taste is the reason why everyone doesn't hate Corona and everyone easily enjoys this. I know this is not the best beer of which I can think, but I would love to say this is one of the most enjoyable beers. For that reason, I recommend this beer for your parties!

Irish Coffee : Alcohol & Coffee at same time :D

1 개의 댓글

Have you ever tried Irish coffee?

Irish coffee is a cocktail consisting of hot coffee, Irish whiskey, and sugar, stirred, and topped with thick cream. The coffee is drunk through the cream. The original recipe explicitly uses cream that has not been whipped, although whipped cream is often used.

[Ingredients]

  • One Irish Coffee glass (preferably with shamrocks and a gold rim),failing that, any smallish glass about 5 or 6 fl. oz.
  • One long shot of good espresso
  • Two fingers of decent Irish Whiskey (Jameson or Bushmills)
  • Two tablespoons brown sugar
  • FRESH heavy cream, laced with a dollop of white sugar, beaten until it's the consistency of custard, but not whipped to fluffiness. In Madrid they refer to this heavy thick sweet cream as "nata".
[Direction]

  1. Have everything prepared and ready before you start assembling as time is of the essence. Get your nata prepared and keep it nice and cold.
  2. Pour the whiskey and brown sugar into the Irish Whiskey glass together.
  3. Then use the espresso steamer to heat the whiskey until it is good and hot and the brown sugar is dissolved, about eight to ten seconds.
  4. CAREFULLY put a match or lighter to the glass and flame the whiskey for a few seconds. This adds a je ne sais quoi to the flavor, and cuts down the alcohol, bringing the caffeine and alcohol into perfect balance.
  5. light my fire.
  6. Pull your shot, and dump it into the whiskey/brown sugar mixture. Between the espresso and the whiskey, your glass should be about 3/4 full (that's why you don't want to use a real big glass).
  7. Carefully lay down a carpet of the "nata" over the warm coffee/whiskey mixture right to the top of the glass. Then, before the nata gets warmed up, enjoy the cool, rich cream juxtaposed against the hot, strong coffee/whiskey.

There is also nice Irish coffee store In San francisco. It's called 'Buena Vista" If you haven't tried yet. You should go and try. It is the best coffee I ever had :D I will post the direction.

Long Island Iced Tea ; a sweet temptation

3 개의 댓글

Whenever I go to bar, I often order a Long Island Iced Tea. Because I can enjoy not only the sweetish flavor of tea but also a high alcohol concentration. So if you drink this cocktail, you can get both chances to have a lot of fun and a little bit relaxation with tipsiness.
Long Island Iced Tea was first served in the late 1970s by Robert Butts, a bartender at the Oak Beach Inn, in the Town of Babylon, Long Island, New York. Since the color of the cocktail looked like the color of the sunset at Long Island beach and it has tea flavor too, so the drink had the name, Long Island Iced Tea.
Although this sweet cocktail needs 5 different alcohol ingredients, it apparently deserves to be tried! Let's see the recipe.

▷ Ingredients
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- 1/2 oz light rum
- 1/2 oz gin
- 1/2 oz vodka
- 1/2 oz tequila
- 1 or 2 oz sour mix (if you don't have it, lemon juice is also okay)
- cola
- lemon wedge for garnish (Optional!)

▷ Direction

1. Pour the triple sec, light rum, gin, vodka, tequila and sour mix into a shaker with ice
2. Shake about 10 times
3. Pour the drink into a collins glass
4. Top the glass off with cola
5. Garnish with the lemon wedge

※ Caution: If you are a female beginner in alcohol, please be careful when you try this cocktail especially with a strange guy. The first taste is sweet and really good, but it may make you drunk a little when you finish it. So..Watch out for guys who suggest you to drink a Long Island Iced Tea at bar. He may be coming on you!

Chianti ; Beautiful Italian wine

0 개의 댓글

Last year, as I was staying in Rome, stopping by a restaurant to have some authentic Italian food and wine, I realized I had never given Chianti enough credit. While it doesn't have the deep profundity of Brunello, its high-class cousin to the south, there are a lot of beautiful, honest, unassuming wines made in some of the world's most beautiful hill country.

Chianti is not so expensive wine compared to other wines from famous vineries. Despite its lack of deep aroma, Chianti has its own attraction. If you are looking for a good quality of exotic wine for reasonable price, pick up Chianti at market. It won't let you down.

My favorite cocktail : Baileys milk

2 개의 댓글
Here is my favorite cocktail, Baileys milk!
It's soft and sweet like latte so it's recommendable to women and people who are not in a mood to drink strong alcohol. The recipe is simple and easy. Prepare Baileys, milk and ice cubes and mix them up. If you want a soft drink, pour more milk. My favorite mixing is 1 Baileys with 2 pure milks. Follow up the instruction below!

Ingredients:
A bottle of Baileys
Milk (the amount of milk depends on the taste of people, but it usually needs more than the amount of Baileys)
Ice cubes

Directions:
(1) Pour Baileys in on the rocks.
(2) Pour milk gently and stir slowly.
(3) Enjoy!
